Benefit from Periodical Reviews
of their Performance and their Strategies'
ANNUAL REVIEWS
Every business should regularly review its situation and performance,
making an assessment of its health, and its ability to maintain
a profitable future. This requires a dispassionate view of all the
key factors, whether that is sales mix, gross margin, productivity
or non-productive time, overheads, financial costs, stock turnover,
etc., etc. However efficient a company has performed in the past
it needs to vigilant to dangers of becoming complacent and staid,
or worst still having a number of small reductions in performance
that could add up to a major threat.
On the positive
side there is the opportunity to redirect energies and make significant
improvements in sales or productivity through a careful study of
existing performance.
We recommend that
clients have a Performance Review, or Health Check as they are commonly
called, every couple of years. We also recommend that these are
carried out by or with an outsider to provide an unbiased view,
that deals with the facts and is not swayed by being in love
with the products or services of the company.
This can be achieved
with the help of the companys accountants, non-executive director(s),
or a business consultancy such as Wessex Forum. Whichever way, the
owners/directors of the company need to be involved in the process
in order to have ownership of the findings and the subsequent reactions.
We have an established
programme for carrying out Reviews for companies. This is not an
expensive operation, and can be completed in less than a week. If
you call us we can produce a proposal to suit your particular business,
both in complexity and cost.
